ABOUT JOHN LACORTE
John LaCorte has 5 years of college coaching experience. John has spent those 5 years as the pitching coach and strength & conditioning coach at Otterbein University.
LaCorte was a four-year letterman for the Cardinals from 2008-11, earning All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honors as a right-handed pitcher during his junior and senior seasons. He ranked among the top-30 nationally for strikeouts per nine innings in his final season, and ended his career in Otterbein’s top-ten for most wins and shutouts.
LaCorte, who was also an Academic All-OAC pick his senior year, graduated from Otterbein with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Fitness and a master’s degree in Allied Health. John is now a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also interned at The Ohio State University Strength and Conditioning Department in 2011.
John also has experience working multiple baseball camps and clinics, ranging from Otterbein, Ohio Wesleyan University, and the Vanderbilt University Prospect Camp. He has worked with the PBR Fall Prospect Program and also spent the last three summers as a head coach for Ohio Elite Baseball.
Along with his coaching duties, John works privately with many pitchers across the state of Ohio. Over the last 5 years, John has instructed over 60 players who have gone on to play college baseball.
John currently resides in Delaware with his wife, Emily.
